Klean Kanteen is the environment's best friend

What would an outdoor excursion into the mountains or wilderness be without the right equipment? In addition to provisions, a sleeping bag and a stove, your backpack should also contain tableware that can withstand difficult conditions. Cups, bottles, and plates need to be robust. They should also be lightweight. This is where Klean Kanteen comes into play. The California-based manufacturer is known for its stainless steel bottles and food containers. Furthermore, the brand is committed to the environment. Since its founding in 2004, the company has strived to rid the planet, nature, and people of disposable products. No more unnecessary packaging. No more inferior tableware made of harmful plastic. Klean Kanteen wants to counteract the pollution of the world's oceans, as far too much waste still ends up on the ocean floor. That is why they have developed high-quality products that are characterized above all by one thing: unlimited lifespan, reusability, and freedom from toxins. All Klean Kanteen drinking cups and bottles are free from harmful substances such as BPA, phthalates, and lead. In addition, the brand's products are safe, hygienic, and easy to clean. It should also be mentioned that every accessory from the brand is 100% recyclable. Incidentally, Klean Kanteen works closely with like-minded non-profit and environmental organizations to inform the public about health and environmental issues. In addition, the brand was certified 100% climate neutral at the beginning of 2020.

Klean Kanteen is a fair employer

Klean Kanteen thinks about more than just environmental protection. With their toxin-free alternatives to single-use plastic bottles, they also make a contribution to the people and places involved in the production process. Every stainless steel cup and bottle from Klean Kanteen is manufactured in China under fair conditions. The B-Corp certified manufacturer has a mission: they want everyone who comes into contact with the brand's products to benefit. This also applies to the employees in the production facilities, who benefit from fair working conditions and fair wages.

Advantages of Klean Kanteen drinking cups and bottles

Those who want to buy products from Klean Kanteen benefit from many advantages. Every cup and bottle from Klean Kanteen is made of durable 18/8 stainless steel. Electropolishing makes all items taste-neutral. You don't have to worry about the water in your drinking cup suddenly tasting like coffee because you previously drank coffee out of it. The Californian manufacturer has also thought about hygiene. Every Klean Kanteen bottle and cup features an electropolished interior, rounded corners, and wide openings. As a result, the food containers are easy to clean and it is difficult for food residues or even bacteria to settle inside the Klean Kanteen stainless steel cups and bottles. But that's not all. Accessory owners benefit from other notable features: - all seals and O-rings are made of food-grade silicone
- all caps are made of BPA-free polypropylene
- corrugated cardboard is used to insulate the lids of all food containers

Cleaning Klean Kanteen accessories

When creating cups and bottles, Klean Kanteen took particular care to ensure that the products can be cleaned quickly and easily. All newer products - which you can also buy in our shop - have a Klean Coat powder coating. Thanks to this coating, every Klean Kanteen stainless steel cup and bottle can be put in the dishwasher. Lids and screw caps are also dishwasher safe. The situation is different for Klean Kanteen accessories manufactured before 2018. These products only have a lacquer finish and should therefore be cleaned exclusively by hand. In general, however, we recommend hand cleaning for all products from the manufacturer. This is very simple. Use warm soapy water for this. The interior of every Klean Kanteen water bottle can be cleaned with a bottle brush. A soft sponge removes dirt from cups and mugs. Instead of soapy water, you can also use traditional cleaning agents. You can achieve excellent cleaning results with diluted vinegar or water with baking soda. These old-fashioned household cleaners will not damage the material of the bottles and cups. In addition, you can use these household remedies to combat even stubborn dirt. By the way, you can also get rid of annoying odors or tastes that have settled in your Klean Kanteen water bottle or coffee cup with vinegar or baking soda water. Simply let the accessory soak in vinegar or baking soda water overnight. The next morning, the Klean Kanteen accessory is clean and ready for use. - More information on cleaning a Klean Kanteen water bottle can be found here
