3M™ E-A-R™ Flexible Fit Earplugs HA feature a patented foam formulation that makes the earplug fully washable and reusable. The soft foam tip and flexible, foam-covered insertion stem allow for effortless insertion into the ear with either one or both hands. The shape of the earplug tips and the soft, conformable foam ensure a good, comfortable fit that attenuates harmful noise levels. Since the foam tips do not need to be pre-shaped, they stay clean even if hands are dirty. The cord keeps the earplugs within reach at all times and clean for repeated use. Flexible Fit earplugs are particularly well-suited for activities where gloves must be worn or hands become dirty, as well as for situations where only one hand is free to insert the earplugs. The Single Number Rating (SNR) is 35 dB (test result for two-handed insertion) and 30 dB (test result for one-handed insertion), respectively. Test earplugs are available for performing fit testing with the 3M™ E-A-Rfit™ Dual-Ear Validation System. With their patented design and innovative thermoplastic materials, these earplugs are among the most versatile and durable self-forming earplugs from 3M. They are suitable for tasks such as assembly, blasting, cleaning, demolition, electrical installation, facility maintenance, grinding, machine operation, painting, or welding, among others. These earplugs can be used in the following industries: automotive, construction, general manufacturing, metal fabrication and processing, military maintenance, repair and operations (MRO), mining, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, and transportation.

What does the SNR value mean?

SNR stands for "Single Number Rating" and indicates the average attenuation of a hearing protector, and thus its average protective effect. The SNR value refers to the average attenuation value of the frequency range relevant to human hearing, from 125 to 8,000 Hz. For example, an SNR value of 30 dB (30 decibels) reduces noise pollution of 100 dB (100 decibels) to a comfortable 70 dB (70 decibels). Hearing protection products should be made available starting at 80 dB (80 decibels). Exposure to as little as 85 dB (85 decibels) over a longer period (40-hour work week) can cause long-term damage to human hearing.

Important: The higher the noise level, the shorter the time you should be exposed to the noise!
