Bushcraft - Wood slide for Bushbox XXL+

With the help of the wood slide, you can cook even more comfortably and enjoy your fire, as the firewood automatically slides down into the combustion chamber of your Bushbox XXL+. There is no need to constantly add more wood, as you can insert longer branches or logs right at the beginning, allowing you to focus entirely on cooking or enjoy the play of the flames in peace.

The wood slide is simply inserted at a slight angle through the fuel window and then placed horizontally (see photos).

Using the attached chain, you can set the desired angle of inclination by hooking it into the outer hook on both sides at the top. The longer and heavier your pieces of wood are, the steeper the angle should be (i.e., the shorter the chain), so that the wood slides down reliably and the Bushbox remains stable (and does not accidentally tip over).

Ignite your Bushbox fire as usual and add fuel to the combustion chamber accordingly. As soon as your fire begins to lick, you can insert firewood via the wood slide. This slides down automatically as it burns, so you do not have to keep adding fuel yourself. Meanwhile, you can prepare food on the Bushbox using pot supports or the universal grate.

Alternatively, if you set the inclination very flat, you can also use the wood slide as a small platform to keep your drink warm.

You can also hook the wood slide vertically into the inside of the stove (see photo) so that the fuel window is completely closed. This can be useful when you have a campfire, allowing the heat to radiate entirely upwards. Additionally, you could use it to cook with charcoal, for instance, or have an additional windbreak for your Trangia.

Caution: The chain is designed for high temperatures; it does not matter if it hangs inside the combustion chamber. However, you should never touch it with bare hands while it is hot; please always wear gloves.

Attention: It may occasionally be necessary to push the fuel forward by hand to ensure it burns evenly and does not accidentally catch fire outside the Bushbox.
