BatteryGuard™ Technology
BatteryGuard™ – preserves battery power until it is needed. Standard electric lanterns lose battery power over time, even when they are switched off. This happens because the battery is never fully disconnected from the contacts. With BatteryGuard™ technology and the simple flick of a switch, battery failure is a thing of the past. BatteryGuard™ is activated automatically as soon as the lamp is switched off using the on/off switch. This disconnects the battery unit from the electrical circuit, so the batteries in the lantern cannot leak or corrode. This not only protects your Coleman® lantern, it also gives the user an extra level of security – battery life is preserved for situations when you need to count on your lantern!
