What does the SNR value mean?
SNR stands for "Single Number Rating" and refers to the average attenuation of a hearing protector and thus its average protective effect. The SNR value refers to the average attenuation value of the frequency range relevant to human hearing, from 125 to 8,000 Hz. For example, an SNR value of 30 dB (30 decibels) reduces noise exposure of 100 dB (100 decibels) down to a comfortable 70 dB (70 decibels). From 80 dB (80 decibels) upwards, hearing protection should be available. As early as 85 dB (85 decibels) over a longer period (40-hour work week), human hearing can be damaged in the long term.

What does the NRR value mean?
NRR "Noise Reduction Rating" was introduced by the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency USA) and describes the value that a hearing protector could provide in a noisy environment.

Important: The higher the noise level, the shorter the time you should expose yourself to the noise!
