PRODUCT DETAILS

All about Folding knife - Viking Vegvisir olive wood 37g

The “Vegvisir”, a symbol of Viking culture, is composed of the Icelandic words “vegur” (road or path) and “visir” (guide). It embodies a runic compass and underscores the importance of finding one's direction in particularly inhospitable areas. A Deejo that never loses sight of its goal!

Ultralight knife made of Z40C13 stainless steel with a black finish. Blade with a ‘liner-lock’ safety catch decorated with a fine laser engraving. Belt clip. Olive wood handle.

Material : Z40C13
Weight : 37 grams
Length closed : 11 cm
Length open : 20.5 cm
Blade length : 9.5 cm
Thickness : 0.9 cm

Olive wood, which adorns the handle of this Deejo knife, is known for its robustness and its antibacterial properties. It is very popular in knife making. Each piece is, by its very nature, unique depending on the tree from which it was crafted, and is valued for its aesthetics and natural grain. It allows your Deejo to shine in beautiful shades of beige, which remain unaffected by humidity or time.

With gray titanium on a stainless steel base, this finish offers two advantages. Firstly, it increases the surface's resistance to bumps and scratches. And secondly, it accentuates the clean lines of your knife with a simplicity pushed to the extreme. As a discreet material par excellence, steel develops a slight patina over the years, which makes this beautiful cutlery creation even more attractive.

Care tips
Whether you are cutting meat, peeling fruit, or opening a package - your Deejo knife cuts anywhere and anytime, and always with the greatest elegance.

As with any knife, the sharpness of your Deejo knife's blade will diminish over time. To maintain the functionality of your Deejo, you should therefore sharpen the blade regularly. We use Z40C13 type stainless steel, which is hard enough to stay sharp for a long time and soft enough to easily resharpen your knife. Your Deejo knife is sharpened normally using standard knife sharpeners and whetstones. Just take care not to damage the aesthetics of the blade during this process.

Special cleaning instructions
Your Deejo knife should be cleaned by hand with a damp sponge. Use the foam side and not the abrasive side. It is not dishwasher safe. Cleaning in a dishwasher could irreparably damage its hinge system.
