Astro 500 Down Sleeping Bag (Body height 165 - 185cm)

The Astro down sleeping bag guarantees warm nights. Thanks to trapezoidal chambers, the down filling always stays in place. This prevents cold spots, keeping the sleeping bag pleasantly warm, even on chilly nights. The Astro is also a bluesign® product: sustainable production, fair working conditions, and the lowest possible impact on people and the environment. But that’s not all! Deuter also uses only down certified according to the Responsible Down Standard (RDS).

Material
30D PA RIPSTOP
Thanks to its extremely high weave density, the new featherlight microfiber cover fabric is highly water-repellent while remaining breathable, protecting the down from clumping due to moisture—both from the outside and the inside. The extremely fine, down-proof, and windproof nylon ripstop material impresses with its soft feel. Stability and abrasion resistance are achieved through the fine “ripstop” structure. It is produced according to the strict Bluesign® standard.

* D stands for denier. This describes the yarn weight. 600D, for instance, corresponds to 600 grams per 9000 meters.
* PES stands for polyester. PES fibers are very tear- and abrasion-resistant and absorb almost no moisture.
* PA stands for polyamide. PA fibers are extremely durable and abrasion-resistant. Furthermore, they are characterized by high elasticity and low weight.

Temperature Limits
Comfort temperature: +1° C
Limit temperature: -4° C
Extreme temperature: -21° C

THE COMFORT TEMPERATURE indicates the lower temperature limit at which an average woman (25 years / 60 kg / 1.60 m) can sleep comfortably through the night. In this range, even inexperienced users will feel comfortable at all times.

THE LIMIT TEMPERATURE indicates the lower temperature limit at which an average man (25 years / 70 kg / 1.73 m) can sleep comfortably through the night. To stay warm in this range, the user must adapt their clothing and behavior to the circumstances.

THE EXTREME TEMPERATURE indicates the lower extreme temperature limit at which an average woman can withstand severe cold for up to 6 hours. Sleep is not possible here. In this risk area, a strong sensation of cold is to be expected. There is a risk of health damage due to hypothermia.
