Astro 500 L Down Sleeping Bag (Height 185 - 200cm)

The Astro down sleeping bag guarantees warm nights. Thanks to trapezoidal chambers, the filling always stays in place. This prevents cold spots and keeps the sleeping bag nice and warm – even on cold nights. The Astro is also a bluesign® product: sustainable production, fair working conditions, and the lowest possible impact on people and the environment. But that’s not all! Deuter also only uses down certified according to the Responsible Down Standard (RDS).

Material
30D PA RIPSTOP
Thanks to its extremely high weave density, the new feather-light microfiber cover fabric is highly water-repellent and breathable at the same time, protecting the down from clumping due to moisture – from both the outside and the inside. The extremely fine, down-proof and windproof nylon ripstop material impresses with a smooth feel. Stability and abrasion resistance are achieved through the fine "ripstop" structure. It is produced according to the strict bluesign® standard.

* D stands for denier. This describes the yarn weight. 600D corresponds to 600 grams per 9000 meters.
* PES stands for polyester. PES fibers are very tear-resistant and abrasion-resistant and absorb almost no moisture.
* PA stands for polyamide. PA fibers are extremely durable and abrasion-resistant. They are also characterized by high elasticity and low weight.

Temperature ratings
Comfort temperature: +1° C
Limit temperature: -4° C
Extreme temperature: -21° C

THE COMFORT TEMPERATURE indicates the lower temperature limit at which an average woman (25 years / 60 kg / 1.60 m) can sleep comfortably through the night. In this range, even inexperienced users will feel comfortable at all times.

THE LIMIT TEMPERATURE indicates the lower temperature limit at which an average man (25 years / 70 kg / 1.73 m) can sleep comfortably through the night. To stay warm, the user must adapt their clothing and behavior to the circumstances in this range.

THE EXTREME TEMPERATURE indicates the lower extreme temperature limit that an average woman can withstand for 6 hours under severe cold stress. Sleep is not possible here. In this risk range, a strong sensation of cold is to be expected. There is a risk of health damage due to hypothermia.
