All about Astro 500 SQ Down Sleeping Bag (body height 165 - 200cm)
The Astro SQ down sleeping bag offers plenty of legroom thanks to its straight cut. Thanks to the special zipper, two sleeping bags can be easily connected to each other. Furthermore, the wrap-around zipper allows the sleeping bag to be converted into a large blanket. The Astro SQ sleeping bag is also a bluesign® product. This means: sustainable production, fair working conditions, and the lowest possible impact on people and the environment. Material
30D PA RIPSTOP
Thanks to its extremely high weave density, the new feather-light microfiber cover fabric is highly water-repellent and breathable at the same time, protecting the down from clumping due to moisture – from the outside as well as from the inside. The extremely fine, down-proof and windproof nylon ripstop material impresses with a smooth feel. Stability and abrasion resistance are achieved through the fine "ripstop" structure. It is produced according to the strict Bluesign® standard.
70 D TASLAN
The 70 D Taslan polyamide used was developed to look and feel like cotton. This fabric is wind-resistant and resistant to water penetration. It is breathable and therefore comfortable against the skin. The weight is approx. 110 g/square meter, which makes this fabric stick less than lighter versions.
* D stands for Denier. This describes the yarn weight. 600D therefore corresponds to 600 grams per 9000 meters.
* PES stands for polyester. PES fibers are very tear- and abrasion-resistant and absorb hardly any moisture.
* PA stands for polyamide. PA fibers are extremely durable and abrasion-resistant. They are also characterized by high elasticity and low weight.
Temperature ranges
Comfort temperature: +2° C
Limit temperature: -3° C
Extreme temperature: -20° C
THE COMFORT TEMPERATURE indicates the lower temperature limit at which an average woman (25 years / 60 kg / 1.60 m) can sleep comfortably through the night. In this range, even an inexperienced user will feel comfortable at all times.
THE LIMIT TEMPERATURE indicates the lower temperature limit at which an average man (25 years / 70 kg / 1.73 m) can sleep comfortably through the night. To stay warm, the user must adapt to the circumstances by adjusting clothing and behavior in this range.
THE EXTREME TEMPERATURE indicates the lower extreme temperature that an average woman can withstand for 6 hours under severe cold stress. Sleep is not possible here. In the risk area, a strong feeling of cold is to be expected. There is a risk of health damage due to hypothermia.
