The Dragon Egg® Mk II is a 25+ liter backpack suitable for either short patrol missions or a larger EDC pack. The backpack features three zippered compartments. The main compartment has an internal hydration sleeve and a mesh pocket. The main compartment also features a center tube exit for a hydration bladder tube. The rear pocket features a padded sleeve that can be used for safely carrying multiband radios or a laptop up to 15 inches. The front pocket of the Direct Action® Dragon Egg® features a zippered mesh pocket and internal organizer for notepads, GPS, writing utensils, and other small essentials. 2 redesigned side pockets can accommodate small and flat items. The pockets are equipped with elastic for expansion, allowing them to fit a standard US canteen or a 1-liter Nalgene water bottle. The Direct Action® Dragon Egg® also features a soft velour-lined zippered pocket for glasses, cell phone, etc. The backpack also features daisy chain webbing running along the front panel seam for attaching carabiners or similar gear to the pack. The laser-cut MOLLE/PALS-compatible system makes the backpack not only fully modular but still retains a low-profile look. Thanks to its egg shape, the backpack has less height and width than other packs of similar capacity and makes it more comfortable with belt kits or ballistic vests. The carrying system is based on comfortable shoulder straps and an internal stiffener in the back. The hip belt is detachable and can be stowed away. Made of durable 500D Cordura® nylon fabric with a water-resistant coating. Combat Vent System®, the innovative ventilation system used in backpacks, provides increased comfort for its users. Consisting of contoured foam profiles with multiple air channels combined with airy mesh, CVS® keeps the pack off the back, which enhances air circulation and prevents heat build-up and sweating, while the stiff foam ensures comfort and stability.
