The Dragon Egg® Mk II is a 25+ liter backpack suitable for either short patrol missions or a larger EDC pack. The backpack features three zippered compartments. The main compartment has an internal hydration sleeve and a mesh pocket. The main compartment also features a center tube exit for a hydration hose. The rear pocket features a padded sleeve that can be used for the safe transport of multiband radio devices or up to a 15-inch laptop. The front pocket of the Direct Action® Dragon Egg® features a zippered mesh pocket and an internal organizer for notepads, GPS, writing utensils, and other small essentials. Two redesigned side pockets can accommodate small and flat items. The pockets are equipped with elastic for expansion to fit a standard US canteen or a 1-liter Nalgene water bottle. The Direct Action® Dragon Egg® also features a soft velour-lined zippered pocket for glasses, a cell phone, etc. The backpack also features daisy chain webbing running along the front panel seam for attaching carabiners or similar gear to the pack. The laser-cut MOLLE/PALS compatible system makes the backpack not only fully modular but also maintains a low-profile look. Thanks to its egg shape, the backpack has a lower height and width than other packs of similar capacity and makes it more comfortable to carry with belt kits or ballistic vests. The carrying system is based on comfortable shoulder straps and an internal stiffener in the back. The hip belt is detachable and can be stowed away. Made of durable 500D Cordura® nylon fabric with a water-resistant coating. The Combat Vent System®, the innovative ventilation system used in the backpacks, provides increased comfort for its users. Consisting of contoured foam profiles with multiple air channels combined with airy mesh, the CVS® keeps the backpack off the back, which improves air circulation and prevents heat build-up and sweating, while the stiff foam ensures comfort and stability.
