Åby Forest Axe 60cm

The Hultafors Åby Forest Axe is a beautiful hybrid axe that impresses in many areas of use. The axe has a straight, ground edge and a finger notch below the head for increased precision. The long, manageable handle, made of American hickory, ensures that the axe sits optimally in the hand and allows for maximum striking power to be generated. This axe is perfect for building cabins, processing firewood, carving, and precision work. In short, it is the perfect forest companion and can be carried safely thanks to the included edge guard. Like all Hultafors axes, the Åby Forest Axe is hand-forged and made of high-quality Swedish steel. During the head forging process, the steel axe head is struck 40–60 times to increase density and thus the durability of the axe. Åby is named after a Swedish village located right next to the Hultafors production site.
