Ekelund Hunting Axe 50cm

With its polished neck and medium-weight head, the Ekelund hunting axe is ideal for light forestry work as well as skinning game with high precision. This makes the axe the perfect hunting companion. Thanks to the included edge protector, the axe can be transported safely. Like all Hultafors axes, the Ekelund is hand-forged and made from high-quality Swedish steel. As part of the head forging process, the steel axe head is struck 40-60 times, which increases the density and makes the axe head more robust. The high-quality American hickory handle, the hand-forged steel head, and the razor-sharp edge are synonymous with the axe's first-class quality and durability. The name of our classic hunting axe comes from the squire Gunnar Ekelund, who, inspired by a trip to the USA in the years 1870-75, promoted axe production on a larger scale.
