All about Outdoor Knife Junior No. 7 (violet)
The best friend of young adventure and sports fans. Ideal for summer camps, hiking, sailing, and other water activities.
The tip of the 7.5 cm blade is rounded, which makes the knife safer. Due to the stainless steel, the blade is stable and corrosion-resistant. The handle is not susceptible to water, impact, or extreme temperatures. A survival whistle with a range of 300 m is integrated into the handle, which works in any weather. The No. 07 is equipped with a Virobloc® safety ring, which offers additional protection during use.
Features

The stainless steel of OPINEL blades is an optimized grade that guarantees both high corrosion resistance and high mechanical performance.
The blade features excellent sharpness and high abrasion resistance (wear resistance), which allows it to withstand regular contact with hard materials such as ceramic before it needs to be resharpened. The advantage of stainless steel is that, unlike carbon steel, it does not require any special maintenance under normal conditions of use. Nevertheless, it can reach its limits if it comes into contact with an aggressive environment (acid, salt water, detergent, etc.) over a long period.
The knife handle is injected with glass-fiber reinforced polyamide, which guarantees high resistance to impacts, water, and extreme temperatures (-40°C to +80°C). A pealess signal whistle is integrated into the end of the handle. It works in any weather, with a volume of 110 dB and a range of around 300 meters in open areas.
The Virobloc safety ring was invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955. It is featured on all folding knives from model N°06 upwards. The Virobloc is cut from stainless steel and consists of two parts: a fixed part and a sliding part. In addition to locking the blade in the open position (safe use), it is now also possible to lock the blade in the closed position (safe transport).
