The ultra-passive cooling system is operated solely with standard ice, cooling packs or dry ice. Without any compressor or absorber, the double-walled and cavity-insulated kx50 keeps ice cool for up to 12 days!

Unbeatable advantage: The interior of the kx50 is designed so that, with a volume of 50 l, up to 70 x 0.33 l cans or 20 x 1 l bottles can be stored and transported upright. Freshly caught fish or provisions you have brought along will also find their ideal storage place in your Petromax cool box.

Cooling system with format
The insulation layer of the Petromax cool box of at least 45 mm guarantees you the longest possible temperature resistance in the interior during outdoor use. But that's not all: the robust PE body is so stable that you can easily use the box as a raised seat or standing surface. This allows you to cast your fishing rod comfortably or get an overview of your surroundings. In addition, thanks to its design with clear edges, the kx50 is easy to stack and stow in the cargo area or below deck. Refilling ice and cleaning the cooling compartment afterwards is made easier by the integrated drainage system. This allows you to drain meltwater at any time – especially during use. This extends the cooling duration according to your needs.

Adventure-ready handling
Especially when cooking outdoors and using equipment in nature, the demands on reliable gear are high. In addition to extremely long temperature stability, there are other features that distinguish the Petromax cool box as adventure-ready: depressions on the lid allow for cross-lashing. This lets you stow your kx50 securely for transport on the deck of your boat or in the bed of your pick-up. The ergonomic side handles can also be used as strap guides, allowing you to open it while it is secured. The non-slip rubber latches can be operated with one hand, and you can keep a firm grip on them even with wet fingers. With reinforced locking plates and in combination with a standard padlock, you can additionally secure your supplies from wild animals. The four rubber feet on the bottom of the cool box ensure a secure stand and additional air circulation from below.

Correct use of the cool box
• Cool down the box before use in a cold room or with ice
• Only fill with pre-cooled drinks and food
• Ideally, use large blocks of ice in one piece
• Always place dry ice, cooling packs or ice on top, as cold sinks downwards
• Open consciously and sparingly
• When on the move, keep the box in a cool, shady place and
  avoid direct sunlight
• Store and transport in an upright position
