All about Reflector Shade HK350 / HK500 Chrome
The reflector bundles the light from the Petromax lamp and reflects it downwards. This offers several advantages: When the lamp is mounted in an elevated position, e.g. with the Petromax lamp holder, no light is lost upwards. This allows the lamp to illuminate a larger area highly effectively. When looking at the Petromax from above, the reflector shade acts as an anti-glare shield. However, the Petromax top reflector is not just an extremely practical addition. It also gives the world-famous high-pressure lamp its characteristic appearance.
