Sighting compass for exact bearings
Thanks to the integrated sighting mirror with a sighting hole, you can precisely read the compass needle while aiming at a landmark. This keeps both your view and your heading in focus at the same time – ideal for precise course determination over long distances, especially in open terrain.

Safety through slope card
The integrated slope card helps you estimate the steepness of the terrain and better assess potential avalanche danger. The risk increases significantly from a slope angle of over 30° – with the slope card, you can identify hazards early and plan your route safely.

Thought-out details for precise navigation
The Expedition S features map scales in millimeters and inches directly on the baseplate, as well as GPS scales of 1:25,000 and 1:50,000 for quick and accurate distance measurement. The detachable distance lanyard with integrated scales also serves as a ruler and makes it easier to calculate routes directly on the map.

Rubber feet on the underside ensure optimal grip on the map, while the easy-grip ring and rubberized housing provide a secure hold even in cold or wet conditions. Luminous markings enable reliable navigation in the dark, and the permanently integrated declination adjustment ensures maximum accuracy.
