SmartEar Impulse ear protection orange (SNR=19dB)

With patented impulse filter technology, the Sordin SmartEar™ Impulse earplugs reduce peak sound pressure levels caused by handgun and rifle fire. Designed for military applications and used by NATO soldiers, the Sordin SmartEar™ Impulse is ANSI IPIL certified for impulse noise up to 166 dB, providing 33 dB of attenuation. When no sound peaks occur, the earplugs provide 19 dB SNR, allowing voices and ambient sounds to remain audible with minimal occlusion effect.

By allowing air into the ear to reduce ear canal irritation, the wearer retains directional and spatial awareness—crucial when hunting. Combined with their small size and comfortable, medical-grade earpieces, they are ideal for all-day use and fit discreetly under communication headsets or earmuffs.

Perfect fit guaranteed
Medium and large earpieces are included. (The filters are pre-installed in the large earpieces.)

Hygienic
The acoustic filters are equipped with a high-tech membrane fabric that ensures the ears are well-ventilated at all times.

Hypoallergenic
The earplugs are made of medical-grade TPE.

What does the SNR value mean?

SNR stands for "Single Number Rating" and indicates the average attenuation of a hearing protector and thus its average protective effect. The SNR value refers to the average attenuation value of the frequency range relevant to human hearing, from 125 to 8,000 Hz. For example, an SNR value of 30 dB (30 decibels) reduces noise pollution of 100 dB (100 decibels) to a comfortable 70 dB (70 decibels). Hearing protection should be available from 80 dB (80 decibels). Long-term damage to human hearing can occur at just 85 dB (85 decibels) over a longer period (40-hour work week).

Important: The higher the noise level, the shorter the time you should expose yourself to the noise!
