All about Tuna Pasta

Experience the bold flavors of our tuna pasta, inspired by a Jamie Oliver recipe that gives this classic dish a unique twist with cinnamon, taking it to a whole new level. Made with durum wheat pasta, tuna, and tomatoes, this meal is flavorful and full of nutritious ingredients.

The combination of crushed tomatoes, onions, and parmesan gives the dish a creamy texture, while cinnamon, basil, and white pepper provide a wonderful depth of flavor. A splash of lime juice adds freshness, while a pinch of chili powder adds subtle heat. Whether you are out in nature or need a quick meal at home, this outdoor food offers a restaurant experience. Freeze-dried to preserve flavor and nutrients, it requires only hot water, and you can enjoy this unique and flavorful dish anywhere!

Ingredients
Pasta (50%) (durum wheat semolina, water), onion, crushed tomatoes, tuna in sunflower oil (18%), hard cheese, sugar,
iodized salt, lime juice, cinnamon, basil, white pepper, chili powder. May contain traces of: soy, nuts, celery, crustaceans, eggs, sulphites, and mustard.

About our Tactical Foodpack products
Tactical Foodpack meals were originally developed for special forces. Thanks to their high nutritional value and simple preparation, the food packs provide a complete meal even under extreme conditions. Due to the special production process, in which the dishes are freeze-dried, the food has a shelf life of several years. During the drying process, all water is removed from the ingredients without destroying the vitamins and nutrients they contain. Since no preservatives, flavor enhancers, or regulators are added, Tactical Foodpacks impress with their authentic taste.

Preparation
To prepare, tear open the bag and remove the oxygen absorber. Then, pour water into the bag to prepare the dish for consumption:

In principle, hot water should be poured into the bag to prepare the dish. More specific details on the amount of water and waiting time can be found on the back of each bag.

If you do not have access to hot water, you can also easily prepare your dish with the Tactical Heater Bag (sold separately):

1. Remove the heater pad from the large packaging.
2. Remove the heater pad's packaging and place the pad back at the bottom of the heater bag packaging.
3. Pour the designated amount of water into the Tactical Foodpack meal and then place the sealed bag into the heater bag (bottom part against the heater pad).
4. Pour approx. 150 ml of water into the heater bag (up to the marked line).
5. Quickly close the ziplock of the heater bag.
6. The heater reacts within 30 seconds to 3 minutes; the colder the water, the slower the reaction.
7. Let the meal sit in the heater bag for 15-20 minutes. We recommend stirring the dish after 10 minutes.

Alternatively, Tactical Foodpack products can also be prepared directly over a fire. In an emergency, the meals can also be prepared and consumed with cold water or even without any water at all.
