All about Silver Escape Army socks with anti-blister system (coyote)
The double-layer performance sock with the ANTI-BLISTER SYSTEM. The Silver Escape is a cushioned, medium-thickness sock with a silver thread woven into the foot area and very high breathability. The Silver Escape has a shaft 7 cm higher than the Escape crew for an ideal fit in tall boots, such as military and firefighter boots, trekking boots, and ski boots.
Silver Fiber Technology: A silver thread woven into the foot area in the inner layer, which makes up 5% of the sock's yarn volume, causes additional evaporation of moisture. Silver also has an anti-fungal effect, effectively controls emerging bacteria, and thus reduces foot odor.
This model features thin terry cushioning in the foot area. Since this cushioning is not incorporated on the skin side, but is instead located between the inner and outer sock, the cushioning rubbing against the skin is avoided.
Features:
- The double-layer construction provides effective protection against blister formation.
- A knitted-in stabilization zone in the midfoot area ensures a secure fit.
- The top of the foot is knitted in a mesh structure to optimally wick away moisture.
- The Dri-Wright fibers in the inner and outer layers ensure dry feet.
The Wrightsock Sock System
The Blister Cycle / How do blisters form?
Everyone can report on the topic of "blisters on the feet" from their own experience. Understanding how blisters actually form is the first step toward better foot health. The blister cycle consists of three factors:
Friction
During endurance running, hiking, or skiing, feet in socks and shoes are exposed to constant movement and friction.
Heat
With continuous movement and friction, feet and socks in shoes become uncomfortably warm or even hot.
Moisture
Hot feet sweat and soak conventional socks. Damp socks on damp feet increase friction and often result in painful blisters.
The Solution - The Anti-Blister System from Wrightsock
Minimal Friction
The inner and outer layers of the WRIGHTSOCK are connected at three points and designed so that they can move in opposite directions to each other. This absorbs the friction.
Minimal Heat
WRIGHTSOCK do not rub against the skin, but rather the inner sock moves against the outer sock. Hardly any frictional heat is generated.
Minimal Moisture
The Dri-Wright fiber in the inner sock layer wicks away foot moisture very well. WRIGHTSOCK keep feet noticeably dry.
